The words 'Sherlock' and 'Party' aren't usually put in the same sentence, at least not in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's series. But I've been thinking about this one for a while. I love to decorate and if you can't tell by now, I love Sherlock Holmes. A party doesn't have to cost a whole lot either if done correctly. All it takes is a little effort and a dash of imagination. Below, I've put together a list of ideas for a Sherlock Holmes inspired party. Take from it what you will, leave a comment below if you have any suggestions or if you do have a Sherlock party I want to see pictures!

A lost art is invitations. Used to be a big
deal to send invites to a party, now we get
Facebook invites. These can be fun if done
right. Make sure to say something cleaver in
the invitation!

Sherlock's desk is always messy. Lucky for you,
this means easy decorating. Beakers are pretty cheap,
fill them with various liquids (food coloring) and it'll
look really cool!

Use some old colored paper you have lying
around and cut out some designs. For example,
Rache, 221 B (how else will they find the party?),
smiley face (with bullet marks).
