35 Songs with a Positive Message

I started this list with a goal of 10 songs, I can happily say I found 35! Woo hoo! This list is in no particular order. All these songs were chosen on the basis that they had something positive to say. Almost ANYTHING on the India Arie Songversation CD. “Just Do You” is a peppy upbeat and fun song about being yourself! “Brother’s Keeper” “Flowers” (which is technically a love song, but it’s showing appreciation for a mentor ) I am light is a beautiful one too. She also made “Video” “Strength Courage and Wisdom”. “Little Things” I Am Not My Hair” and “Private Party” and personally the song “I Choose” should be a woman’s anthem! Check her out and I’m sure you’ll want to add a couple to your list!

Great List! I think almost any song by Superchick would fit nicely with this collection. I recommend “We Live” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_whi9GmAO8

Natasha Bedingfield and Disney, among others, can be good sources for positive songs. I’ve wanted more positive music ever since I was a kid and have since collected well over 100 songs, even studying the effects on myself over years. Thanks for contributing to the movement.

I wish Natasha was doing more. Haven’t heard a lot of out her lately. Disney has provided great songs, though lately it’s been lacking a bit for me.

      Hey Sweetdee and Elle,
I’ve just made a list of 100 mostly popular songs with positive happy messages. The mostly underground music which is chosen for monthly music picks on my site will be added to the list.. Sweetdee, you’ll be happy to know Hero is listed. I like that one, too.

You should check out some of Icon For Hire’s stuff. It’s a bit more alternative so you may not quite like the style though…
