I’m all for DIY projects, especially when they don’t cost a whole lot. I had seen a picture of some Orphan Black coasters that were made for the cast as gifts and thought, what a great idea! The http://thefrugalgirls.com tutorial is excellent for this, but I wanted to add in my own tips as well for you all.
First off, make sure you choose photos that fit the size of the tile. There were a few that I wanted to use but were too wide so I had to pick other photos. I printed my own photos at home unlike the Frugal Girls. I actually wound up using two types of photo paper. One was from Post-It and had adhesive on the back of the paper already. This actually made the paper curl, like in the photo below. To stop the curling I just put a book on top of the tile once I had put the Mod Podge glue on the back.

Something else I did different was the backing. I used sliding pads that you usually buy to put on the bottom of chair legs and such. I super glued these onto the four corners. Really super duper easy!

Remember, to check the 8 Reasons Why I Want My Nerd HQ post because I’m giving these coasters away to someone who has donated to the Nerd HQ Indiegogo campaign! Enjoy!
